Transfer of Credit
JSBC does not accept credit for experiential learning, credit by examination, prior learning assessment, advanced placement, or professional certificates.
Credits will only be accepted from accredited institutions.
The Transfer Credit Policy, as listed in our Student Handbook (2024-2025 Student Handbook, pp. 53) is as follows:
Transfer Credits:
Students seeking to transfer credits from other institutions must provide official transcripts from all previously attended schools during the application for admission to JSBC.
Process
Students seeking to transfer credits must request a review of their transcript by the Registrar during their first semester of enrollment. Transcripts will be evaluated for transfer credits after the student has been accepted to JSBC.
Students may be required to submit additional documentation to justify transfer credits, or the Registrar may request syllabi or other documentation from the transferring institution.
A fee of $35 will be assessed for each credit hour transferred toward a student’s degree program.
Grade requirements
Only courses with a grade of C or better are eligible for transfer.
Limitations
Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies Degree: For the Associate of Arts (AA) program, students may transfer up to 24 credits.
